Are you passionate about literature and the arts? Do you have a strong background in fiction, poetry, and visual art? Are you meticulous with grammar and usage? If so, Scribeworth Magazine is looking for you to join our editorial team!

Scribeworth is a premier literary and arts magazine dedicated to showcasing the works of both emerging and established writers, poets, and artists. We are currently seeking an Assistant Editor to help us elevate our content and expand our editorial vision. This role will involve working closely with our editorial team to evaluate, edit, and refine submissions in both the written and visual art domains. While the position is currently unpaid, we aim to offer compensation in the future as we grow.

Requirements:

• A B.A., M.A., or MFA in English Literature, Fine Arts, or a related field.

• Strong understanding and appreciation of fiction, poetry, and visual art.

• Excellent knowledge of grammar, usage, and editing principles.

• Aptitude for evaluating visual art, with a keen eye for style, composition, and concept.

• Ability to provide thoughtful and constructive feedback to both writers and visual artists.

 

Responsibilities:

• Assist with reviewing and editing fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction submissions.

• Provide feedback to writers on content, structure, and style.

• Evaluate and edit visual art submissions, offering insights on composition, technique, and overall impact.

• Help maintain the magazine's high editorial standards across both written and visual art content.
